This Mini Cooper belonged to a family member and was far beyond what a normal service would even begin to cover. It had not been washed in months, the front of the car was plastered with bugs and road debris, the front wheels were caked with brake dust, the paint had marks all over it and was very grimey, the interior was covered in make-up residue, tons of grime and food all over, and had lots of garbage to be removed to be clean again. This vehicle is a perfect example of why we charge extra for excessive cleaning. If this vehicle had been in ideal condition when it was received, it would have taken about 4 hours to complete from start to finish. In this condition it took us 12 hours to complete and get to the final product.
Once the vehicle was evaluated, all areas heavily concentrated with bugs and debris were sprayed with a mild cleaner then gently scrubbed to help break up the grime. Once that was done, the wheels and tires were pre-treated with a cleaner then the entire vehicle was pressure washed. After that the vehicle was sprayed with the foam cannon and washed with our two bucket wash system to get the vehicle as clean as possible.
After this the vehicle was wiped down and dried to prepare it for paint correction. The vehicle was then pulled inside and was buffed, polished, and sealed with an all in one product to remove all of the minor scratches and marks all over the paint. The paint was then buffed to a shine to make the paint look like new again. After the paint correction was complete, the vehicles black plastics were treated with a product to help bring them back to their original color, rather than the faded grey color most of them had become. The tires were also treated with a tire dressing to complete the exterior.
The finish out this very in depth job, we fully detailed the interior – beginning with removing all of the garbage from inside the vehicle. Once the garbage was removed, the interior was gone over with compressed air and a variety of brushes to remove dirt and grime from all interior surfaces. The floor mats were removed, scrubbed, and pressure washed. All interior surfaces were then wiped down with a mild PH balanced cleaner and then very specific detail was given to the steering wheel, gear selector, emergency brake handle, door panels, and all knobs to remove all of the make-up residue from these surfaces. After all surfaces were cleaned, they were all treated with a protectant and then all the interior glass was cleaned. As you can see, the interior needed a lot of attention and the photos do not even begin to show the amount of care the interior needed to bring it back to looking its best.
As you can see, this Mini Cooper needed a lot of attention to get it back to looking like it should again. A lot of hours were spent to achieve this result, but the end result was well worth it to the owner.
